‘Us’ was Jordan Peele’s next big horror feature film after his masterpiece, ‘Get Out’. Although this 2019 film didn’t reach the heights of ‘Get Out’, it did manage to become a huge financial success, bringing in close to USD 256 million against its modest budget of USD 20 million. It has managed to attract the attention of critics around the globe, with the iconic red suit with a mask becoming one of the most recognized Pop-Culture Costume. The film has also managed to achieve cult status as well.
The film follows a family of four featuring Adelaide Wilson and Gabe Wilson with their children Jason and Zora, who are going to Adelaide’s hometown for summer vacation. But Adelaide is traumatized by an incident in her childhood which she believes was a nightmare; it haunts her to this day. After meeting another family of four, she realizes that the mysterious incident was not so fictional after all.
