Young Wallander is a mystery-thriller series that is young, edgy and modern. Based on best-selling novels by Henning Mankell, this prequel series follows the iconic Swedish detective Kurt Wallander (Adam Pålsson) and his formative experiences, both personal and professional. Just after graduating from the police academy, Wallander witnesses a brutal crime and is roped in to solve it under superintendent Hemberg (Richard Dillane). He must learn to cope with the guilt of not being able to save to a teenager from a gruesome attack in order to solve the case that made him the detective he was. The six part series featuring both British and Swedish cast has been written by Benjamin Harris, Jessica Ruston, Anoo Baghavan, Ben Schiffer and produced by Berna Levin.
