Psycho is a Tamil psychological thriller about the eponymous psycho. The Mysskin directorial opened to decent critical acclaim earlier in the year on January 24th. Mysskin returned to direction after a gap of three years with Psycho. After making his career’s most expensive outing in his last attempt (Thupparivalan), Mysskin is back to his small scale ways for Psycho. The narrative is filled with typical elements and characters unique in the director’s world. A fantastic team of actors is assembled as usual by Mysskin. Gautham (Udhayanidhi Stalin) is a blind musician who falls in love with Dahini (Aditi Rao Hydari), a radio jockey. When Gautham finally manages to grab her attention and propose his love, she is kidnapped by a psycho. The psycho is known to behead the people he takes. Gautham with the help of an ex-police officer Kamala (Nithya Menen) tries to find the psycho. How the two people with physical disabilities catch, the killer is narrated in a creepy and psychologically provocative manner. Ram, Aadukalam Naren, Singampuli, and Renuka etc. play the vital supporting parts. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja provided the background score. https://youtu.be/SDZCXPBYHY0
